About This Quote

The Westboro Baptist Church, or WBC, is a small congregation of about 30 people in Topeka, Kansas. The WBC has been around since 1955. The church was founded by Fred Phelps and his family. In the 50’s the WBC was extremely active in anti-gay hate activities and was considered to be one of the most radical anti-gay groups in existence. Fred Phelps died in 2014 but his family continues to run the church and they continue to preach their message that “God hates fags, and America is going to hell.”
